How do you e-file on TaxAct?
When you are ready to submit your e-file, click the Filing tab, then click E-File My Return on the main filing screen. On the next screen, check the box next to Federal and the applicable State(s). You can e-file more than one state at a time.
Can I file previous years taxes with TaxAct?
TaxAct does not support e-filing of previous years returns; therefore, they would need to be printed and mailed in. For an individual preparing their own return, you can view our Prior Year Products page to view the programs we have available.

- Click the My Return button in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click Print Center, then click the Return tab (or one of the other tabs, depending on what you want to print)
- Enter the number of Federal and/or State return copies you would like to print or save.
